Netatmo’s Smart Radiator Valves in Europe

Smart thermostats will be very cool. They can save energy,use lower bills, and they make your house look like the futuristic residence of a Star Trek character. The problem is that I live in an apartment in New York City and only have a simple radiator, so I can’t really get in the connected home action.

Fortunately ,Netatmo, a company which specializes in modern, minimalist smart home technology ,has announced at IFA its new Smart Radiator Valves, which can be added smart phone control the individual radiators. The Smart Radiator Valve can control valves to start and stop heating when the room as desired, allowing for room-by-room temperature control and scheduling. The Smart Radiator Valves look pretty too, with a translucent plexiglass which by Philippe Starck design and an e-paper screen for displaying the current temperature.
