The gate valve is a gate valve for opening and closing. The gate valve moves in a straight line along the direction perpendicular to the flow direction of the fluid to cut off or open the channel of the fluid. It is the main valve used in thermal power plants with large diameter (DG greater than 100mm)

The function of the gate valve is to open or close the pipeline passage by using the valve disc to move along the vertical line direction of the passage center. The main opening and closing parts of gate valve are disc and seat. The structure of gate valve is mainly composed of valve, bonnet, bracket, valve rod, valve seat, valve plate and other parts.

Advantages of gate valve

1. Low flow resistance. The medium channel inside the valve body is straight, the medium flows in a straight line, and the flow resistance is small.

2. It is labor-saving when opening and closing. Compared with the stop valve, the movement direction of the ram is perpendicular to the medium flow direction whether it is open or closed.

3. High height and long opening and closing time. The opening and closing stroke of the ram is large, and the lifting is carried out through the screw.

4. Water hammer is not easy to occur. The reason is that the shutdown time is long.

5. The medium can flow in any direction on both sides, which is easy to install. Both sides of the gate valve channel are symmetrical.

6. The structure length (the distance between two connecting end faces of the shell) is small.

7. The utility model has the advantages of simple shape, short structural length, good manufacturability and wide application range.

8. Compact structure, good valve rigidity, smooth channel, small flow resistance, stainless steel and hard alloy sealing surface, long service life, PTFE packing, reliable sealing, light and flexible operation.

The opening and closing part of the butterfly valve is a disc-shaped butterfly plate, which opens and closes the valve by rotating around the shaft in the seat. The rotation angle of the butterfly plate from full open to full close is usually less than 90 degrees. The butterfly valve is not suitable for high-temperature and high-pressure media.

The butterfly valve is mainly composed of valve body, valve plate, valve rod and driving device. The rotating handle makes the driving device drive the valve plate to rotate around a fixed shaft in the valve body. The oil rotation angle can achieve the purpose of opening, closing and throttling. The butterfly valve is characterized by simple structure, light weight and convenient maintenance. In the power plant, it is often used in the circulating water pipeline system with low temperature and low pressure.
