As we all know,Lug and water butterfly valves are applied in lots of industrial scenarios, e.g. food processing, medicine, chemical, petroleum, and waste water treatment.Valves used in these industrial scenarios are produced according to “Pharmaceutical Quality/Manufacturing Standard”, cGMP (a good practice at present) guidelines.In many industries, ball valves have been replaced by butterfly valves basically.It is particularly true for industries treating petroleum, because ball valves are more expensive and hard to install.Please note if a pipeline containing butterfly valves are to be cleaned, they cannot be ‘pigged’. ‘Pigging’ means leveraging a tool named ‘pig’ to perform various maintenance jobs.
