HOW DOES BALL VALVES WORK

Ball valves made of solid components provide high durability, even after long periods of free time. It has a sphere made of brass, stainless steel or chrome-plated brass embedded in the catheter. At the top of the sphere is an attached lever which can only move in a quarter-turn. When the level is parallel to the pipe, the sphere allows the water to flow. When the lever is perpendicular to the pipe, the solid ball blocks the water flow. The water flow is controlled by moving the rod from 0 to 90 degrees from the pipe to which it is attached.

On the other hand, although you can keep the water flowing through the pipe by keeping the lever between the two limits, the water pipe may be distorted due to water pressure.The advantage of this valve is that you can easily open or close it quickly. However, water will always hit the sides of the ball and pipe, unless it is fully open to guide water.
