A solenoid valve is a control unit that either closes or allows fluid to flow when energized or energized. The actuator is in the form of an electromagnet. When energized, the magnetic field builds up, pulling the plunger or pivot armature up against the action of the spring. When power is cut, the plunger or pivot armature is restored to its original position by spring action.
For the drive mode, the directional valve, the inner guide valve, and the outer guide valve are distinguished. Another difference is the number of port connections or the number of flow paths (" ways ").
Through a direct-acting solenoid valve, the seat seal attaches to the solenoid valve core. In the absence of power, seat orifice plate is closed and opened when the valve is energized.
With direct-acting valves, the static pressure increases with the diameter of the orifice plate, which means that the magnetic force required to overcome the pressure increases accordingly. Thus, internally guided solenoid valves are used to switch higher pressures with larger orifice sizes; In this case, the differential pressure fluid plays a major role in the opening and closing of the valve.
For these types, separate pilot media are used to drive the valve. Three-way solenoid valve can be mounted on the actuator to control the independent pilot media. When the solenoid operated valve is energized, the piston's effect on the spring rises and the valve opens. If the spring is placed opposite the actuator piston, a normally open valve version can be obtained. In this case, the independent pilot medium is connected to the top of the actuator. The double-acting version controlled by the 4/2 valve does not contain any springs.
